The Rising Above Share-a-thon with Reach FM is back again to help raise funds for our ministry! From 6am-6pm on Wednesday, September 22nd, tune in to 96.3 Reach FM to hear lifechanging stories of those impacted by God's great love through our ministry and help us reach our fundraising goal.
This is one of the largest fundraisers Rising Above puts on in a year and all funds raised goes toward helping people break cycles of defeat in our region. Being a non-profit organization, we rely on community support to continue to operate. The community of Grande Prairie always steps up and supports our ministry in big ways! For example, last year we weren't sure how this fundraiser would go over in the midst of a global pandemic. Lots of businesses and individuals were left hurting and are still feeling the negative effects. To our surprise, our amazing community of Grande Prairie helped us raise $151,333.55 in the span of 12 hours putting us $40,000.00 over our initial fundraising goal. We were astonished and greatly humbled by the generosity of this community.
For those who are familiar with Share-a-thon, you know you'll hear touching stories from people who have battled addiction, homelessness, and other cycles of defeat and you'll hear hope ripple throughout their testimonies. All you have to do is tune in to 96.3 Reach FM on Wednesday, September 22nd from 6am-6pm.
Crooked Creek Donut Truck and Smokin' Jacks Food Truck will be on location at Park Campus serving delicious donuts and lunch items! Stop by for a bite and come say hi to the Rising Above team as well as Terry Van Veen, Sheila Miekle, and Tanya Owen from the Reach FM team.
