Where We're Going

On a grassroots level, our vision is to continue helping people break cycles of defeat.

On a broader scale, our vision is to continue to develop and strengthen our ability to help people break cycles of defeat in Grande Prairie, the Peace Region, Northern Alberta, and beyond! 

But what does that look like? 

It looks like other communities partnering with our organization or using us as a resource to see that their community has an affordable faith-based treatment center ready and willing to help. It looks like businesses seeing the need for treatment centers in their community and helping to pave the way for a center to open. It looks like the development of similar programs like the one at Rising Above, or duplicating the Rising Above program, in Albertan communities.

There's a quote that goes "it takes a village to raise a child." In the realm of destructive patterns, "it takes a community to help the lost."

We aspire to see affordable faith-based treatment centers easily accessible to struggling Canadians - no matter their story, background, gender, ethnicity, or religion. 

If we are going to live like Jesus, we must love like Jesus.

Mark 12:29-31

Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
